The short-term and long-term functional outcomes after postoperative treatment of adult ankle fractures with braces are similar to those with casts. The usage of braces may cause three times more wound complications than that of casts.
LIA at the donor site can effectively improve the early postoperative pain of patients after ACLR and reduce the use of opioids without affecting the functional outcomes of the surgery.
In summary, our study suggested that CSRS is a prognostic risk factor for esophageal cancer. Patients with high CSRS may have worse immunotherapy outcomes.
Damage control during a difficult conventional stage I ALPPS was important. TACE during the interstage and postoperative periods of this Mini-ALPPS was safe and beneficial. A multidisciplinary based on Mini-ALPPS treatment could provide patients long-term survival; however, Mini-ALPPS should not be selected as the primary solution for such patients today, as some other minimally invasive and effective strategies are available.
Good clinical outcomes were observed for PTBD entry at segments 5/6 and 2/3. In contrast, segment 7/8 had the lowest success rate, smallest bilirubin reduction, and the highest complication rate. For patients with obstructive jaundice, PTBD entry in hepatic segments 2/3 and 5/6 is recommended to achieve high success rates and low complications.
The ORGs signature established in this study has promising prognostic predictive power and may be a useful tool for the selection of EEC patients who benefit from immunotherapy and targeted therapies.
UBE-TLIF for LSS has the advantages of less surgical invasiveness and fast postoperative recovery.
To date, this is the largest reported cohort of patients who received rib fixation for fractures sustained during CPR. No complications associated with rib fixation were reported whereas one infection after sternal fixation did occur. Current follow-up demonstrated a good long-term quality of life after fixation, warranting further studies on this topic. Deeper knowledge on this subject would be beneficial for a wide spectrum of physicians.
